Welcome to MY machine

When I was a kid in grade school I listened to AM radio stations as I grew up in the southern outskirts of Seattle. We were a family of 3 boys and a girl, raised by our Mom who worked for Northwest Airlines at Sea-Tac. We had moved from Montana when our parents divorced in the mid-to-late 60s. Our mother got us enrolled in a Catholic school which gave me an immediate group of about 30 friends/classmates. I developed a specific interest in listening to the lyrics of those popular songs on "KJR, Seattle, channel 95." We often went to our family's best friend's house for holidays, etc. I can remember sitting crouched in a corner with the little plug-in, or transistor, radio, on New Year's Eve, writing down the songs, one by one, from the top 100 songs for that year. I loved to keep track of the details. AND....that is where it all began.
